Another painting for my acrylics class at Ringling. Shoes are a bitch to paint, Ill tell you that! The biggest lesson I learned from this painting is never be too scared or too proud to ask for help. If you cant figure out what to do, chances are the teacher will. Dont get frustrated and give up. Actually, thats something the whole program (with some help from my dad) taught me. Im really glad I went.
At one point, they had to move everything in the room around for critique and we had to mark where our shoes were off with tape. However, that did NOTHING because the people who moved stuff UNPEELED THE TAPE. Bastards. So we had to figure out where our stuff was on our own.
Thanks! It was required that we use either burnt sienna or yellow ochre. THe reason there isn't a lot of color in here is because...I'm too lazy to really color anything, let alone color something well.

Good reason. Laziness can be terrible, but I think that it needs to be respected more.
I was happy to see these two paintings because A: they were in paint, and B: they show a greater grasp of subtlety than most of your drawings. I don't know if this means you should paint more, or if it means you should be more sketchy with your drawings.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.

Not as cool as intricately detailed digital paintings, though.
